We partner with skilled 1099 Concrete Flooring Subcontractors to complete high-quality projects, including flake systems, overlays, epoxy floors, industrial slab repairs, and concrete pours.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced concrete flooring professionals who want consistent contract work, the ability to grow their own business, and the chance to work on high-standard projects without having to find their own customers.
Role Overview (1099 Subcontractor Position)
As an independent Concrete Flooring Subcontractor, you will perform repair, resurfacing, and coating work on commercial, industrial, and residential concrete floors. You will operate under your own business entity, using your tools and expertise to complete contracted scopes of work to Aventra Coatings’ quality standards.
You choose your availability, accept the projects you want, and invoice per job.
Subcontractors may perform tasks such as joint repairs, floor grinding, cementitious resurfacing, epoxy flooring systems, flake installations, and concrete restoration.
Key Responsibilities (Scope of Work)

Complete concrete floor repairs, patching, and refurbishments

Perform grinding, surface prep, and floor profiling

Apply cementitious overlays, epoxy systems, and resin-based flooring

Install flake systems, sealers, and topcoats to specification

Follow project scopes and quality requirements

Provide your own tools/equipment (grinders, vacs, mixers, PPE, basic hand tools)

Complete daily progress updates and invoice upon project completion

Maintain a professional attitude on customer job sites

Ability to support occasional out-of-town projects (optional)
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience working with concrete flooring repairs and coatings

Strong background in concrete grinding and prep

Ability to deliver high-precision results on flooring projects

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Operates as a 1099 subcontractor with own tools

Liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Skills

Mechanical experience with grinders or industrial flooring equipment.

Experience with optical leveling or surface flatness tools.

Ability to manage projects.
Personal Qualities

Self-motivated and able to complete work independently

Strong communication and professionalism when dealing with homeowners or GC partners

Flexible with scheduling and able to take on projects with short notice

Quick learner and open to training on new flooring systems
