Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experienced Registered Nurses with Emergency Department (ED) expertise are needed for a contract role in the Emergency Department located in Salem, NH. The unit provides critical care across multiple patient populations, including trauma, stroke, and complex cardiopulmonary cases. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years ED nursing experience (required for contract candidates)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (mandatory for contract labor)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication with patients and healthcare team
- Adaptability, dependability, and punctuality
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with EMR systemsPreferred candidates will have:
- At least 1 year of ED experience (for permanent hires)
- MOAB certification considered a plus
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care including trauma, stroke, lacerations, orthopedic trauma, and psychiatric care
- Safely perform procedures such as IV and IO insertions, EKGs, ultrasound, and eye exams
- Utilize departmental protocols to order labs, imaging, medications, and interventions
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of 88 staff members to maintain optimal patient care
- Adhere to unit policies and dress code standards
- Work every other weekend as part of the rotating schedule
