Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving an elementary school setting in Lancaster, CA. This position will span from August through January, covering a maternity leave. The caseload includes approximately 55 students, focusing on speech services, Resource Specialist Program (RSP), and students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN). This role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a diverse elementary student caseload
- Provide targeted interventions for students requiring RSP and ESN services
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain accurate service records
- Utilize virtual platforms effectively to serve students with Extensive Support Needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification or license
- Demonstrated experience working with ESN students in a virtual setting is a mandatory requirement
- Familiarity with elementary school environments and educational speech therapy services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload of 55 students efficiently
