Job Description

Halo Smart Home is expanding and looking for an experienced Low Voltage Lead Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in smart home technologies, structured cabling, security systems, and commercial low-voltage installations across residential and large-scale commercial projects—including schools, offices, and new construction.

We are seeking a highly skilled lead technician who can take charge of onsite installations, and ensure projects are completed to our high-quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret basic low voltage construction blueprints.

Responsibilities

Lead onsite installation of low-voltage systems including network cabling, security cameras, access control, automation devices, and more
Terminate, test, and certify Cat6/Cat6A network cabling
Install and dress network racks, patch panels, j-hooks, cable trays, and conduit pathways
Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and riser diagrams
Guide and train junior technicians to follow best practices
Ensure all installations meet code, project specifications, and industry standards
Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and customers
Troubleshoot system issues and provide expert-level solutions
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
