Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver specialized care as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) supporting critically ill newborns in a well-equipped setting. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute your Level 2 NICU nursing expertise within a dedicated team focused on families and excellence in pediatric care.

Location: Littleton, CO

Unit Overview:

  • 6-bed NICU with a 3:1 patient ratio for feeder growers and 1:1 for vented infants
  • Staffing includes 2 NICU RNs and 1 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) per shift, available 24/7 with neonatologists on call
  • Equipped with advanced Giraffe Omnibeds and STAR GE transport resuscitation units
  • Electronic Medical Records system includes CPN and Meditech

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care including admissions and initial stabilization in the delivery room
  • Assist with procedures such as umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture assistance, and circumcision alongside NNPs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans for best patient outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 NICU experience required
  • Experience in delivery room admissions and stabilization
  • Preferred: Level 3 or 4 NICU experience and familiarity with Eat Sleep Console methodology for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)
