Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated 1st shift Diesel Technician who will be responsible for mechanical and fabrication repairs on a fleet consisting of 4 trucks and 15 trailers. The role involves a significant amount of welding and fabrication work, particularly due to the higher number of trailers. You will be tasked with performing DOT inspections, documenting findings accurately, executing repairs, and ensuring that the vehicles are operational and back on the road swiftly.
Responsibilities
- Conduct floor and wall repairs through welding and fabrication work.
- Change tires, brakes, rotors, and axles.
- Replace filters, alternators, water pumps, turbos, and suspension systems.
- Perform after-treatment systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Replace lights and adhere to DOT & OSHA guidelines during all tasks.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience performing DOT Inspections.
- 3+ years of experience in DOT equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in heavy fabrication and repair through MIG welding on Steel (80%) and Aluminum (20%).
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work in various weather conditions.

This is a Permanent position based out of Goshen, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $58240.00/yr.
- Weekly pay with bonus structure on top of base pay
-- last years average was 15% on top of base - 4 factors going into this though: division, last months profitability, pounds shipped prior week, and safety

- Profit sharing program (after 1000 hours worked) - 8% of pre-tax earnings for the year
