Duties & expectations:
- Receives, stores and issues fixtures, machine tools, etc., and maintains records of tools issued and returned
- Prepare tools and tool holders from tool sheet.
- Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment
- Maintain tool crib in clean, orderly and well-maintained condition.
- Assesses tools as needed for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer and reports damage or wear to supervisor.
- Ensure tools and fixtures are kept in good condition.
- Follow nonconforming process when needed.
- Identify when applicable, continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor for particular machine or project.
- Ensure that our FOD program is being adhered to.
- Handle tools and fixtures in a way that will not cause damage or compromise integrity.
- In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, may be asked to do any of the following but not limited to:
- Cleaning, Operator, Manual Machining, In-process inspection of ongoing production parts.
- Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
- Keep clean and organized work area.
- Willing to work in a team environment.
- Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics
