Hattie Larlham is seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team at the Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center. This role supports children ages twelve months through preschool by providing assessment, therapy, and case management services aligned with IFSP and IEP goals. Services are delivered through a combination of classroom-based, individual, and family-centered approaches in both educational and natural environments.
The Speech & Language Pathologist collaborates closely with families, educators, and clinical staff to promote communication development and maximize each child’s independence through play-based, child-led therapy.

- Location: Columbus
- 1st Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor IFSP and IEP goals.
- Conduct speech and language assessments, screenings, and evaluations.
- Provide classroom-based and individual speech and language therapy services.
- Coach and support parents and caregivers using play-based, child-led approaches.
- Design and implement therapy activities addressing communication, oral-motor, and sensory needs.
- Develop and utilize visual schedules, social stories, and assistive communication supports.
- Serve as Primary Service Provider when appropriate and complete required home visits.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reports.
- Collaborate with families, staff, school districts, and outside providers.
- Support transitions from Early Intervention to Preschool and Kindergarten.
- Adhere to all Hattie Larlham policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
- Ohio Department of Education & Workforce 5-Year Pupil Services License
- Pediatric experience with an emphasis on play-based, child-led therapy
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to travel within Ohio
- CPR and First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
