Job Title: Product Owner

Job Purpose
The Product Owner drives business value by building, managing, and maintaining Product Backlogs in collaboration with IT teams based on project magnitude, scope, and complexity. This role represents the business to the development team, defines business value, outlines project scope, and ensures acceptance criteria are fully defined. The Product Owner plays a key role in product direction, feature creation, user story development, and collaborative innovation through JAD sessions and other brainstorming activities.
Essential Functions
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Product Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 6 years in IT and business analysis, business development, solutions development, systems analysis, technical design/development, or implementation
OR
- 4 years of Product Owner experience.
- In Lieu of Degree: An additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred
- Previous healthcare industry experience
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of business and management principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of project planning and full lifecycle development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands
- Strong customer service orientation, including managing challenging customers
- Must disclose any debarment or exclusion that affects eligibility to work directly or indirectly on Federal healthcare programs
Licenses/Certifications
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
