MEMCO is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment. Welding experience is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, bulldozers, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment performance and safety
- Utilize welding skills to repair structural components and attachments
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Work independently and as part of a team in field and shop environments
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Strong welding skills (MIG, Stick, or TIG preferred)
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and reporting
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and a strong problem solver
