Med Surg Overview:
Our Med Surg Service Line consists of eight specialized units, offering exposure to diverse patient populations with a wide array of diagnoses and care requirements. These units cater to patients who are either preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical procedures. While you will have a designated "home unit," we provide cross-training for our nurses across different specialties, fostering a robust foundational understanding of various patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures. Whether you are a recent nursing graduate eager to establish a solid base for your future career or an experienced nurse seeking variety in daily tasks, our Med Surg environment is ideal for you!
Qualifications:
- Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
- Certifications: Required to possess an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course during the probationary period. ACLS and BLS certifications are also necessary or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
