Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Controls Installation Superintendent to lead BMS and EPMS installation projects in mission-critical data center environments. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise installation teams, including technicians and subcontractors.
- Plan and organize daily operations, task assignments, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site inspections for compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and project specifications.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for BMS/EPMS installation matters.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide accurate progress updates.
- Oversee conduit installation (EMT, Rigid, PVC) for BMS and EPMS cabling pathways.
- Direct cable pulling and ensure proper routing through conduits and raceways.
- Supervise terminations of control wiring and communication cabling in panels and devices.
- Interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and blueprints.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and IT trades for system integration.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support commissioning activities.
- Maintain daily reports, progress logs, and installation documentation.
- Submit QA/QC reports and as-built drawings.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
- 7+ years in electrical installation, with 3–5 years supervising BMS/EPMS projects.
- Expertise in conduit bending and cable termination.
- Familiarity with BMS/EPMS platforms (Schneider, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and data center infrastructure.
- Proficiency in low-voltage wiring and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
- Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to use construction management software and MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
