Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a compact or AZ license and advanced certifications for a flexible shift position in a rural hospital setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department serving a diverse population in a rural area
- Flexible schedule with variable day, evening, night, and weekend shifts
- Serves all age groups in a culturally rich, semi-desert region
- Assignment length is 10 weeks
- Orientation sessions offered every two weeks
- Provide emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
- Will work independently and follow physician orders and nursing standards of care
- Must complete fingerprinting before starting the assignment
- Housing options are limited and must be arranged immediately after acceptance; no family or pets allowed in provided housing
- Cultural competence and respect for the local community are essential
- Shared housing available at an additional cost, subject to availability
\n \n Requirements\n
- Active RN license from any state (AZ or compact accepted)
- Minimum of 3 years ER nursing experience required
- Certifications required and must be maintained: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association
- NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC required (may be obtained within first year of employment as specified)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire
- Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within three months of hire
- Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
- COVID and flu vaccination or approved declination form required
