Job Description:
Perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs for heavy equipment fleet, under the direction of senior mechanic.
Responsibilities:
- Complete repair orders
- Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations
- Wear all PPE (approved hard hat, vest, safety glasses, gloves, long pants, safety toed boots)
- Coordinates with skilled/assigned supervisor for the purpose of completing projects and work orders safe and efficiently.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance
- Perform routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements
- Troubleshoot and repairs hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components of a concrete mixer truck
- Removes components for repair or replacement
- Perform quality inspections
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic (preferred)
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- High school diploma (preferred)
- Bilingual is a plus
- Be able to read, write, and speak English
- Diesel Knowledge
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Pre-employment Drug Test required

- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
- Ability to work long hours
- Must wear protective equipment while at locations
- Heavy work: must regularly lift and/or move up to 60lbs
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
