Heavy Equipment Operator – Excavator/Dozer (20 hrs OT Weekly)

Job Description

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a minimum of 2 years of equipment operation experience. This role operates heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers to move sand, soil, crushed concrete, and recycled materials throughout the property. This is an active, outdoor role in a materials/recycling yard environment.

The operator will support daily production activities, including relocating aggregate materials and assisting with general yard operations. Dozer experience is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, backhoes, dozers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Move sand, soil, crushed concrete, and recycled product throughout the property
• Support material processing and product flow for outgoing projects
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Assist with entering basic information into the computer system
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
• Climb ladders and enter the trommel as needed to support repairs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Must be able to operate backhoe, excavator, and/or dozer
• Ability to climb a ladder to access the trommel (200–250 lb ladder weight limit)
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be fit for duty and able to meet physical demands of the job
• Basic computer skills required
• Reliable transportation to and from Orange, TX

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday
• Start time: Approximately 7:00 AM (may fluctuate based on workload)
• Overtime: ~20 hours per week, consistently
• Pay: $18–$22/hr depending on experience
