Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive A Technician to join our team. As the highest-level technician in the shop, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics, advanced repairs, and leading technical work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. The ideal candidate is ASE-certified, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality automotive service.
Pay:
- $35 - $45 an hour
- $75k - $150k annually
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, drivetrains, and other complex vehicle components
- Accurately diagnose root causes of vehicle issues using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic tools
- Conduct performance tests and verify the accuracy of repairs
- Perform reprogramming, calibrations, and technical updates using OEM software
- Lead or assist other technicians with diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Document all work performed and parts used in a clear and organized manner
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding customer concerns, repair timelines, and recommendations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer bulletins, service procedures, and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
- ASE Master Technician certification preferred (or a plan to complete within 6–12 months)
- Extensive experience with diagnostic tools, scopes, scan tools, and OEM software
- Strong understanding of engine performance, electrical systems, HVAC, drivability, and emissions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
