Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist II at El Paso, TX! This is a 3 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Phlebotomist II
Location: El Paso, TX 79925
Shift Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: Weekdays (1st Shift – Mountain Time)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $18 - 21.50/hour (Based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy & Patient Interaction
- Perform skilled venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients, promoting trust and comfort.
- Verify patient demographics and ensure accuracy of specimen labeling in the patient’s presence.
- Prepare specimens for transport and lab analysis in accordance with established procedures.
Operational Excellence
- Conduct all daily activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Maintain required documentation, logs, and compliance records.
- Travel to multiple locations as needed, sometimes with short notice.
Professional Conduct
- Demonstrate Quest’s Leadership Behaviors and uphold confidentiality and accuracy standards.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making based on company policies.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, supervisors, and peers.
- Follow all company guidelines, including dress code and safety standards.
- Adapt flexibly to changes in workflow, scheduling, and work location.
Note: Training location may vary depending on trainer availability.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience – Required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
