Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a specialized imaging team focused on ultrasound diagnostics within a reputable regional medical center. This contract opportunity involves a 13-week assignment with a Monday through Friday schedule, working from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM for a total of 36 hours weekly. Located in Rigby, ID, this position offers a dynamic work environment centered on high-quality patient care and advanced imaging technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound imaging, with a focus on abdominal and obstetric (ABD and OB) examinations.
- Conduct procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis fine needle aspirations (FNAs).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide accurate and timely ultrasound diagnostics.
- Utilize GE ultrasound equipment and document findings using the Meditech electronic medical record system.
- Maintain adherence to unit policies and dress code, including wearing black scrubs.
- Support both outpatient and inpatient/ER diagnostic needs, balancing approximately 45% outpatient and 55% inpatient/ER patient interactions.
Qualifications:
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen and Physics is required; these certifications are considered the minimum qualifications for this role.
- Previous experience with abdominal and OB ultrasound imaging is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Ability to adapt within a staffing structure that includes on-site day shift and weekend/night coverage.
