Job Description
We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team specializing in commercial projects such as steel stud framing and general commercial carpentry. The role involves working closely with 1-2 other carpenters and a foreman to complete various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Perform selective hand demolition as needed.
- Execute wood (rough) carpentry tasks.
- Conduct millwork and finish carpentry.
- Hang drywall and perform taping, spackling, and finishing.
- Install metal stud framing and ACT ceilings.
- Work with acoustical ceilings.
- Install doors, frames, and hardware.
- Utilize hand and electric tools proficiently.
- Ensure the site is clean and organized.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in framing and metal stud work.
- Experience with acoustic ceiling installation and commercial carpentry.
- Ability to handle drywall tasks efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with steel studs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing high visibility clothing, jeans, a hard hat, and safety boots. Typical working hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. You will work alongside 1-2 carpenters and a foreman, depending on the project size. The team consists of 100 total field personnel, including superintendents and laborers, who maintain a collegial and friendly atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
