Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position focused on open heart, neuro, and CRRT cases, requiring an IL RN license and Epic experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a 30-bed SICU-MICU-Neuro ICU environment
- Patient population includes open heart, neuro, and critical care cases requiring CRRT
- Experience with CABG, stroke, and TNK procedures is expected
- Utilizes the Epic EMR; experience is required
- Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
- Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
- Floating to other units is required if census is low in the ICU
- Responsibilities include caring for high acuity ICU patients in surgical, medical, and neuro intensive care settings
- No requested time off is permitted for holidays
- Calling in sick for a weekend shift (Friday 7p-Monday 7a) will require making up the shift the following weekend
- Team members are expected to float to other units based on staffing needs
- Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis
- Dress code for ICU and hospital environment applies

- Active IL RN license
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Experience with open heart, neuro, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) cases
- Experience with Epic EMR is required
- DCI/BVP certification for Workplace Violence Prevention must be completed
