Construction Superintendent - Commercial Projects

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for ground-up projects in big box retail, grocery, and fitness sectors. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with a proven track record of coordinating complex construction sites, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow across multiple projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
• Monitor and enforce project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain consistent communication with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Prepare daily logs, progress reports, and documentation to track project status, productivity, and performance.
• Support on-site team development, mentorship, and performance oversight.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated success managing projects in big box retail, grocery, or fitness center sectors- ground-up builds.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, interior build-outs, and site management best practices.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
