PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Indianapolis IN 46250 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $85/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 3rd Shift | 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM | 7 On / 7 Off
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist role ensures the safe, accurate preparation and dispensing of medications while providing patients with expert guidance on proper use, potential reactions, and overall medication management. The pharmacist supports high-quality care by maintaining compliant records, identifying drug-related issues, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse.
- Ensure all medications dispensed comply with legal and clinical standards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
- Counsel patients on medication use, potential reactions, side effects, and interactions.
- Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters).
- Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions.
- Supervise pharmacy team members, including technicians and clerks.
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with prescribers and healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns to support coordinated patient care.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Active and valid Indiana RPh license.
- Experience compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions.
- Supervisory or lead experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
