- Unit: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)\n
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract\n
- Duration: 13 weeks\n
- Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)\n
- Hours per Week: 36 or 48 (OT paid after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts)\n
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800\n
- Patient Ratio: 1:2\n
- Start Date: December 8, 2025\n
- End Date: March 9, 2026\n
- Floating: May float to nearby campuses (Centerville, Englewood)\n
- Scrubs: Navy Blue\n
\n\nCVICU RN Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU Registered Nurse experience required\n
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred\n
- Active RN license (any state); must obtain Ohio RN license before start\n
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n
- Online EKG tele competency assessment required prior to start\n
- EPIC charting experience required\n
- Proficient in A-Lines, ventilators, cardiac drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs\n
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips\n
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n
- Available to work every other weekend and holiday\n
- First-time travel nurses welcome!\n
\n\nCVICU Nurse Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions (STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, valve stenosis/insufficiency, AFIB, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock)\n
- Manage advanced cardiac equipment: chest tubes, temporary pacers, CRRT, ECMO, Impella, EKOS\n
- Interpret and manage arterial blood gases, cardiac drips, and vasoactive medications\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)\n
- Float to other units as needed, supporting nursing teams across Dayton campuses\n
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR\n
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules\n
