Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring ACLS, BCLS, and telemetry experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes primarily medical cases such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and select surgical cases including gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
- Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 6:00 to 18:30
- Every other weekend shift required
- Floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital is required
- Uses Cerner EMR system; experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must agree to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Return applicants must have a 12-month gap from any previous permanent or PRN employment with the facility
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Charge pay is available for eligible roles

- Active IN or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at the time of consideration
- Current ACLS and BCLS certifications from AHA or RQI accepted
- 18 months to 2 years of recent relevant RN experience required
- Telemetry and IV start skills required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
