Technical Skills & Experience
- Drywall Installation: Proficiency in measuring, cutting (with utility knives or saws), fitting, and securely fastening drywall panels to wood or metal framing on walls and ceilings.
- Drywall Finishing: Expertise in taping and sealing seams, filling joints, and applying joint compound ("mudding") using trowels and taping knives to achieve a smooth, seamless surface (ready for painting).
- Drywall Repair: Ability to patch holes, cracks, and dents, and blend the repairs seamlessly with the existing surface, potentially including texture matching.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with relevant hand and power tools such as screw guns, utility knives, mud pans, sanding tools, and possibly specialized equipment like panel lifts, stilts, or scaffolding.
- Blueprint Reading: The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project layouts and requirements.
- Basic Math Skills: Accuracy with measurements and calculations to ensure materials are cut correctly and projects follow specifications.
Physical Demands
- Physical Strength and Stamina: The ability to lift and carry heavy drywall panels (up to 75 lbs) and other materials.
- Manual Dexterity and Coordination: Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise cuts, fitting, and finishing.
- Agility and Balance: Comfort with standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and working at heights from ladders, benches, or scaffolding.
- Overhead Work: Capability to perform overhead work for sustained periods.
Education & Certifications
- Education: At least a high school diploma or GED, and or skills learned on the job or through apprenticeships.
- Experience: 5-10 years experience.
- Licensing: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for traveling to various job sites.

- Attention to Detail: Essential for achieving high-quality, seamless finishes and precise work.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues like uneven framing or unexpected site challenges.
- Teamwork and Communication: Effective verbal communication and collaboration skills to work with other tradespeople and team members. Our technicians are consistently working face to face with customer and are expected to dispay a high level of verbal communication and customer service.
- Professionalism: A positive attitude and professional conduct, especially when working in clients' homes or commercial properties.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and dependability to consistently deliver quality work and meet project deadlines
