Job Description

The City of Pueblo is looking for a hard-working maintenance mechanic to join our Wastewater Treatment Plant team! As the WWTP Maintenance Mechanic, your duties will include servicing, installing, and repairing pumps, motors, boilers, hydraulics and more. You’ll perform building related repair like carpentry, painting, plumbing and masonry. Additionally, you’ll use welding and cutting tools to repair and maintain machinery and equipment. Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of successful experience in mechanical maintenance
    • Up to two (2) years of related trade or technical school (associate degree level) may substitute for successful experience in mechanical maintenance
  • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
    • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
    • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Industrial, water, or wastewater treatment plant maintenance experience
