The Role

We’re looking for a motivated Parts Advisor to join our team and deliver exceptional support to both customers and technicians. In this role, you’ll assist customers with parts inquiries, source and supply the correct parts, and ensure an efficient and accurate parts process. If you're passionate about customer service, enjoy problem-solving, and have strong attention to detail, we want you on our team!

What You'll Do

Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers at the parts counter, understand their parts needs, and provide accurate information and recommendations.
Parts Expertise: Identify, source, and supply the correct parts for both retail customers and technicians using catalogs, inventory systems, and vendor resources.
Order Management: Process parts orders, manage special orders, and ensure timely follow-up on order status, backorders, and deliveries.
Inventory Support: Help maintain proper inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure parts are organized, labeled, and stored correctly.
Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments to support repeat business and smooth operations.
Sales & Goals: Work toward individual and team parts sales goals by promoting recommended accessories, maintenance items, and seasonal parts.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technicians, service advisors, and management to ensure accurate parts availability and efficient workflow.
Follow Up: Maintain communication with customers regarding order status, pricing, returns, and future parts needs.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Previous experience as a parts advisor, counterperson, or in a similar customer service role, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Experience identifying parts and assisting customers with parts-related questions.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to understand and explain automotive parts and components.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and parts is a plus.
