Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Design, plan, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects such as bridges, buildings, and cofferdams.
2. Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam for drafting and designing structural plans.
3. Conduct finite element analysis to predict how structures will react under different conditions.
4. Oversee critical crane lifts, ensuring safety and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with other professionals like architects, site managers, construction engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Provide expert advice on structural matters during the demolition process.
7. Prepare reports, designs, and drawings, making calculations about loads and stresses.
8. Maintain the project's quality standards while adhering to the code of practice and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification or eligibility.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a structural engineering role.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam.
5. Strong knowledge of construction processes, including erection, demolition, cofferdam, and critical crane lifts.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
7. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
8. Familiarity with finite element analysis and its application in structural engineering.
9. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to designing safe and durable structures.
