Position Overview
This hospital is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join their high-acuity team. This role requires strong clinical judgment across the full perinatal spectrum — antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration. Travelers must be comfortable managing complex and high-risk pregnancies while providing exceptional support to mothers and families in a fast-moving environment.
Required Experience
- 1–2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Must have hospital experience (acute care)
- Fetal heart monitoring expertise
- Experience managing magnesium sulfate
- Ability to care for high-acuity patients
Preferred:
- Scrubbing/assisting in deliveries
- EPIC & Perinatal Centricity (QS)
Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- FHM
Unit Details
- 12 beds
- Patient population: high acuity, substance abuse, chronic conditions impacting pregnancy, language barriers
- Equipment: Warmers, GE monitors, pulse ox, blood glucose
- Ratio: 1:1–2
