Travel Pay Rate: (above 50 miles)
- Hourly:$21/hr W2 + $1,180/week (non - taxable stipend)
- Gross:$2,020/weekly

Position Summary:
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the surgical team at a reputable acute care facility. The CST will assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operative procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
This role requires strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team in high-pressure, fast-paced OR settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary supplies before each procedure.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
- Handle and care for surgical equipment, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and functioning properly.
- Anticipate surgeon and team needs during all phases of the procedure, including emergent situations.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures in collaboration with the RN circulator.
- Maintain accurate documentation of supplies, implants, and specimens in the EMR system (Epic or Cerner preferred).
- Follow infection control and hospital safety standards at all times.
- Participate in orientation of new staff and support cross-functional teamwork in the OR suite.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA.
- BLS certification (AHA preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of recent CST experience (multi-specialty or trauma experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and instrument usage.
