Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive B Technician to join our service team. This mid-level technician will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have solid technical experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Pay:
- $21 - $27 an hour based on experience
- $45,000 - $70,000 annually based on performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on gas and diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and alignments.
- Identify mechanical issues through test drives and inspections.
- Accurately document all services performed and parts used.
- Communicate with service advisors regarding recommended repairs and estimated timelines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Stay current with industry practices and new vehicle technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
- 2–3 years of automotive repair experience highly preferred, but willing to train the right person with 1+ years of experience.
- ASE Certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, and work under vehicles for extended periods.
- Use of hand and power tools.
