About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Credit Analyst to join our client’s lending team. This role is critical in supporting Loan Officers by conducting financial analyses, preparing credit packages, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and organizational skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings excellent judgment and communication skills to every assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Loan Officers on new loan requests by performing initial financial analysis, gathering and reviewing complete financial packages, and preparing risk assessments of commercial customers.
- Develop credit analyses for use in loan decision-making processes, including new approvals and renewals.
- Collect and analyze financial information from portfolio customers to identify early signs of credit issues.
- Monitor the annual review/renewal process, including loan presentations and policy exception tracking.
- Assist in completing timely Annual Reviews across the portfolio, coordinating with Loan Servicing on updates such as NOIs and DSCR calculations.
- Communicate with customers to request and track required financial information, balancing this with prioritization of new loan transactions.
- Submit appraisal orders, flood determinations, and environmental report requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform compliance reviews, including CRA, Government Monitoring, and Joint Credit.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial credit or public accounting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation and related banking laws/regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate analyses.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet turnaround times in a high-volume environment.
