Job Description
Join our dynamic team where you will be welding custom stainless steel tanks of various sizes and shapes. As a welder/fabricator, you will excel in stainless steel welding, with a keen ability to work with high-cosmetic products, and efficiently handle full layout and blueprint reading. Your work will be evenly split between MIG and TIG welding processes. Additionally, you will engage in basic fabrication tasks such as cutting pipes and using equipment like drill presses and band saws. Occasionally, you may also be required to polish down welds.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow.
- Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs.
- Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet aesthetic requirements.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in MIG welding, with experience in TIG welding being a plus.
- 2+ years of welding experience with an emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.
- Strong ability in blueprint reading and interpretation of schematics and welding symbols.
- Proficiency in all welding positions, including working in tight spots and confined spaces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational welding program or trade school is a plus.
- Familiarity with various types and grades of stainless steel.
- Commitment to producing high-quality, artistic welds.
- Physical ability to crawl, crouch, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.

Work Environment
Work in a well-maintained workshop environment, with a clean space despite some metal dust. You will be collaborating with a team of 15-20 other professionals on the production floor, crafting custom stainless steel tanks for various industries including fuel, food, water processing, and alcohol fermentation.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
