An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to support a Level One Trauma Center specializing in General Surgery. This travel position is ideal for candidates with at least three years of Level 1 trauma experience, demonstrating expertise in emergency general surgery, burns, trauma cases, DaVinci Robotics, thoracic, and liver surgeries. The role demands versatility and a strong mitment to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, managing plex cases including general surgery, trauma, and specialty procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outes.
- Participate in trauma call schedules, including overnight coverage as required.
- Utilize advanced OR equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive robots.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse licensure with a minimum of 2 years clinical operating room experience, preferably 3 years for trauma/level 1.
- Current CNOR certification preferred.
- Proven ability to manage patients in a level 1 trauma environment.
- Experience with diverse surgical specialties including GU/GYN, orthopedic trauma and joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures.
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, accountability, and punctuality.

Schedule and Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed 36 hours weekly
- Weekend rotation: 1 in 4 weekends required
- Call: One overnight trauma call (11:00 PM 7:00 AM) as scheduled
