Senior Helpers South Valley is hiring Full & Part-Time Caregivers in the San Fernando Valley & Los Angeles County areas. Our Caregivers enjoy an environment of inclusiveness and camaraderie, with ongoing support, training, and growth opportunities available. From daily companion care to specialized support for seniors with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, and other chronic illnesses, comprehensive care solutions are available to both client and Caregiver, as we will match you with a client who meets your skill and comfort level. Our Caregivers must have or obtain an HCA license, TB test, and pass a background check before working, but many of our best and most successful Caregivers have no formal training or education in the field. If you have cared for a loved one in their home or provided support and comfort during a challenging time in someone’s life, we want to meet you! **We are always searching for Caregivers fluent not just in English, but Armenian, Russian, Spanish, Farsi, and myriad other languages**

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assigned, including bathing, transfers, mobility assistance, toileting, dressing, etc.
- Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation and recreational activities
- Perform household tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Drive client to and from doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and/or errands
- Medication reminders
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred
- Must pass CA background screening
- Must be willing to screen for TB (and have negative result)
- Caring and compassionate nature with professional attitude & presentation
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance is a plus
- Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
- Armenian, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, and other language skills are a PLUS
