Job Purpose
The Licensed Esthetician plays a key role in delivering exceptional, medically informed skincare services within our integrated dermatology and aesthetics practice. This position combines clinical expertise with a luxury experience, ensuring every patient receives personalized, results-driven care in a welcoming and professional environment.
Core Responsibilities
Patient Care & Consultation
- Conduct thorough consultations to assess skin health, identify patient goals, and recommend individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper skincare routines, product usage, and post-treatment care tailored to their unique needs.
- Collaborate with supervising physician (when applicable) on treatment protocols when necessary to ensure safety and efficacy.
Treatment Delivery
- Perform advanced facial and body treatments in accordance with practice protocols and industry standards.
- Provide hair removal, exfoliation, and other elective skincare services with precision and professionalism.
- Maintain strict adherence to sanitation and sterilization guidelines for all tools, equipment, and treatment areas.
Patient Experience & Engagement
- Deliver an unparalleled patient experience by anticipating needs, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Promote practice services, retail products, and ongoing programs in a consultative, ethical manner.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and maintain continuity of care for optimal outcomes.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately document all treatments, product recommendations, and patient education in electronic medical records.
- Stay current on dermatology terminology, cosmetic procedures, and emerging trends in aesthetics.
Practice Support
- Assist with inventory management, cost control, and room preparation to maintain operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding patient feedback, equipment needs, or operational issues.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Aesthetics License/Certification in [State].
- Completion of Certified Dermatology Technician course within 90 days of hire (provided by practice).
Experience
- Minimum 1 year in a medical aesthetics or dermatology setting preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of skincare science, cosmetic procedures, and product formulations.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Working Conditions
This role operates in a hybrid medical office and spa environment, requiring frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs).
