A full-time School Psychologist position is available to support an elementary school caseload in Waterbury, CT. This contract role begins August 20th and continues through the school year. The psychologist will be responsible for providing testing and counseling services to no more than 20 students, helping to address their academic, social, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations
- Providing individual and group counseling sessions
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop student support plans
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as necessary
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to school-wide initiatives
Ideal candidates will have strong communication and leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 3:45 pm.
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Proficient in conducting assessments and counseling
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
