ACT Program Team Leader – Therapist


Location: Southgate, Michigan

Schedule: M–Th 8:30 AM–7:00 PM | Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Sat 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Position Type: Direct Hire / Permanent

Compensation: $34.07–$45.17/hour


Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Team Leader for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. This role provides comprehensive therapeutic support to adults with serious mental illness and their families, ensuring adherence to ACT fidelity standards while fostering a collaborative and client-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and community-based support.
  • Provide advocacy and clinical guidance to adults with serious mental illness and their families.
  • Collaborate with the ACT team and other community providers to ensure effective program operations.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new ACT team members.
  • Co-facilitate ACT team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention, on-call crisis coverage, and clinical consultation to other staff as needed.
  • Maintain required documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance standards.


Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling – Required
  • Michigan LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure – Must be active and in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders – Required
  • Experience in a community mental health setting – Preferred
  • Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Professional designation at hire and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist credential within 120 days of hire
  • Possess or be actively pursuing CAADC credential or registered MCBAP Development Plan within six weeks of hire
  • Exceptional clinical assessment, client engagement, and intervention skills
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively
  • Nonjudgmental approach reflecting cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse client populations
  • Must have a valid Chauffeur’s license and meet agency driving eligibility
