PCGH is hiring a Block Shift Residential Support Team Member in Roxboro. This Direct Support Professional (DSP) role follows a 7-on/7-off block schedule, starts at a minimum of $15.50 per hour, includes paid training, and requires staying in agency-provided on-site housing during the 7-on block.

What this role is
The Block Shift schedule means working seven consecutive days followed by scheduled time off. During the 7-on block, staff are expected to stay in agency-provided on-site housing (apartment). The DSP will provide person-centered care in group residences, including supervision, assistance with daily living, community supports, documentation, and medication checks as required. Paid training, ongoing coaching, and internal advancement opportunities are provided. Dependability, compassion, and a willingness to work rotating weekends are required. Sc.

Rate and Schedule Overview

7-on staff start at a minimum of $15.50 per hour, with higher rates possible based on program placement and experience. Schedule follows a consistent 7 days on and 7 days off block schedule and includes rotating (every other) weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support with daily living skills and individual goals
  • Support personal care, medication administration, and health-related needs as required
  • Monitor safety, respond to incidents, and follow crisis protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to individual service plans
  • Help maintain consistency and stability during on-periods
  • During 7-on shifts, staff are expected to stay overnight in agency-provided on-site housing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Caregiving experience helpful but not required; training provided
  • Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • Patience, compassion, and a person-centered approach
