Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
\n
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
\n• 36 guaranteed hours per week with no weekends or major holidays
\n• 8-10 days per month on-call requirement
\n• Shift length varies based on procedure schedule and patient load
\n• Care for both outpatient and inpatient populations in 10-bed holding unit with overflow capacity
\n• Prep patients for procedures and provide post-procedure recovery care
\n• Patient ratios average 2-3 patients at one time based on acuity level
\n• Patient acuity ranges from Med-Surg to Critical Care
\n• Assist physicians with TEE procedures, cardioversions, and dobutamine stress echos
\n• Perform arterial and venous sheath removal with manual pressure
\n• Handle high volume, fast-paced patient turnover environment
\n• Floating as needed but uncommon
\n• Must have 2+ years of experience and telemetry experience
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
\n• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
\n• Preferred experience with intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella devices, and vasoactive drugs
\n• Pre-op and recovery experience with Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology patients preferred
\n• Meditech documentation system experience preferred
\n• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs, no artificial nails, neat hair pulled back when working in lab, tattoos covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
