Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.

A full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students in an onsite school setting in Detroit, MI. This contract position spans a full semester and offers a 35-hour workweek, including dedicated time for paperwork, planning, and indirect duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for a diverse K-12 student caseload
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Engage in ongoing planning, documentation, and compliance with applicable guidelines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist license or willingness to obtain one prior to employment
  • Strong knowledge of Michigan-specific laws and regulations, including MARSE (Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education)
  • Experience evaluating English Language Learner (ELL) students and familiarity with culturally responsive assessment strategies
  • Proven skills in student engagement, collaboration, and intervention planning
