Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Elgin, IL
Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire
Pay range: 35-40/HR
Job Description
Field Service Technicians travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair and install industrial packaging machinery. They will work with customers for pre-consultation, site readiness preparation, startup monitoring, assist and train customers on client equipment. Will perform routine maintenance on equipment to maintain high quality operation. Complete service reports, record repairs, warranty and maintenance performed. The position requires up to (80%). Travel may be international to Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Bilingual Spanish highly desired.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent is preferred, plus 4 or more years' experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the Packaging Equipment field is desired, but not necessary.
- "Hands on” experience with Electro-Mechanical experience, pneumatics, AC/DC motor control, PLC's, VFD's.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
Must be self-motivated with ability to work & think well independently.
